SHERMAN, Texas (KTEN) — With Sherman’s rapid growth, it’s been increasingly difficult to find a place to live.
Covenant Development and Rockhill Capital are teaming up add 750 new single-family homes to the city’s housing inventory as part of the Heritage Ranch planned development at U.S. Highway 82 and FM 1417.
“Any time we can add new houses is a great thing right now because demand is so high,” said Sherman city spokesperson Nate Strauch. “Obviously if you don’t keep up with supply, then that drives prices even higher.”
Construction at Heritage Ranch is planned to begin by the end of this year.
“We’re encouraged to see a lot of builders coming in and putting these houses on the ground,” Strauch said.
